Dr. Brandi Sims Joins Austin Alliance for Women in Media Board of Directors
Austin, Texas — Dr. Brandi Sims, Ph.D., MBA, Founder and CEO of Brandinc PR, has been unanimously appointed to the 2026-2027 Board of Directors for the Austin Affiliate of the Alliance for Women in Media (AWM). The announcement was made during the organization’s official board installation dinner held on May 6, 2026, at Maggiano’s Little Italy in Austin, Texas.
The Alliance for Women in Media is a nationally recognized organization dedicated to advancing the careers of women working across media, communications, and entertainment industries. The Austin Affiliate connects local media professionals through programming, networking, mentorship, and advocacy.
A Unanimous Vote and a New Chapter
Dr. Sims was elected to the board unanimously — a reflection of the relationships she has built across Austin’s media and communications community and her commitment to amplifying women’s voices in the industry.
“Being welcomed onto the AWM Austin board unanimously is an honor I don’t take lightly,” said Dr. Sims. “Women in media and communications are shaping culture, driving narratives, and building brands every single day. I’m excited to serve this community in a more formal capacity and to help create opportunities for the next generation of women in this space.”
The installation dinner, sponsored by iHeartMedia, welcomed the full incoming board and brought together Austin-area media professionals for an evening of celebration and community building.
