What an incredible couple days in NYC!
I want to take the time to thank the Forbes team for inviting me to be a part of this amazing moment in history. Seth, Jabari and Ayisha thank you for creating the space to where Black voices can be championed and celebrated around the world.
Although the ringing of the bell at NASDAQ signified the close of the day, to me, it was the start of a new one. One that solidifies the presence of Black excellence in all its shapes and forms. One that advances opportunities and the most important one which is access.
It is an incredible honor to serve amongst phenomenal Black leaders across the country and now internationally. For me, it has always been about how do we empower the next generation, how do we uplift voices and how do we facilitate change. It starts with us and I am proud to be a part of the Forbes BLK journey.

Amongst Black leaders representing major cities in the U.S.
AUSTIN – February 26th, 2024 – Brandinc PR Founder, Brandi Sims was selected amongst the Forbes BLK Advisory Council and Forbes staff to attend the closing bell of NASDAQ on Friday, February 22nd. In addition to ringing the closing bell, the group led by Jabari Young made the official announcement of the second annual Forbes BLK Summit returning to Atlanta, GA on June 23rd-25th.
“It was an honor to join my fellow Advisory Council members to represent not only my community but to also share this incredible milestone for Forbes BLK,” says Brandi Sims, Founder & CEO of Brandinc PR. “Black History Month is about elevating the often forgotten Black voices who’ve contributed to American culture, past and present.
